In 2009, having spent their entire careers managing accounts receivable, two industry insiders made a decision to partner together to create the most responsive, flexible, service oriented agency in the collection industry. Key2Recovery, Inc. officially opened its doors in January of 2010. They knew that the industry had become complacent and that many firms were not only slow to innovate but resisted change altogether. They saw market opportunity where others saw economic crisis. They saw a niche where others saw a crowded competitive landscape. Key2 is the result of nearly 40 years of industry experience wrapped in a new, nimble, customer-focused package.

The CEO of Key2, Doug Plummer, has 19 years of sales and management experience, 15 of which have been spent in the collection and accounts receivable management industry. He has personally negotiated and managed complex multi-million dollar contracts for collection services, and asset acquisitions with over 600 educational and financial institutions and has been involved in over 1000 formal procurement processes. In the past 24 months he has been involved in the acquisition and liquidation of nearly $1.2 billion in unsecured consumer debt.

Key2Recovery's President & COO
Our President, & COO, Steve Roberto, was recently the Chief Operating Officer for General Revenue Corporation which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sallie Mae, a Fortune 200 company. He has been involved in the collection of education related receivables for 25 years. In addition to managing the entire collection operation of over 700 employees, he also had responsibility for the IT and HR functions there as well.
