Our Collection Philosophy.

Key2 believes that illustrating what makes our agency different could take a website all its own.  Therefore, we will merely highlight what makes us most unique out of all of the collection choices in the marketplace. That most unique thing is our collection philosophy. Every agency has one and every agency talks about what a great philosophy theirs is. The fact is that it’s very difficult to maintain or even establish a uniform, grandiose collection philosophy across a larger organization. It may look excellent on paper but in actual practice, their actions are far from the target.  

There is no question there are millions more accounts being referred for collection than in recent years. Many agencies now seem to be “creaming” placed accounts due to the increased placement volume produced by a lagging economy and their extremely high internal costs. If the recovery of the balance in full or a large settlement seems unlikely the agents merely move on to the next account. However, there have been few significant changes to the way consumer debt has been collected since the use of the automatic dialer fifteen years ago. We at Key2 intend to change that. In this industry, with this economy, it’s not the number of accounts you have but what you do with them that counts. The days of constant calls and harassment are over. Companies that seek out ways to help consumers out of bad economic situations are the ones that will be successful in the future. 

Our Key2 philosophy is this; Bring exceptional customer service to the table every day, don’t just say you’ll treat the borrower with respect but really do it, and quickly determine the borrower’s ability and willingness to repay and arrange a creative and attainable payment plan that will be met on-time and completed. These are the “Keys to Recovery”.

This sounds simple and some elements, we are sure, are repeated in other companies “mission” or “vision” statements. Why then are hundreds of lawsuits filed each month for FDCPA violations. In fact, there were more violations recorded in 2009 than in any year prior, and 2010 is on pace to shatter that record. Really believing it and really doing it are what counts.
At Key2 we average 9.5 years of collection experience among all of our Recovery Specialists. Our Collection Manager has 15 years of collection and collection management experience. Together our two owners have nearly 40 years of experience in the collection industry. Even though we are a new company, Key2 has a higher level of experience on average per employee than any firm in the country. We have been able to hand pick top performers not just for experience or performance sake, but those that are true believers in our collection philosophy. They are the type of employees who don’t have to be convinced or coached into our way of doing business. They already operate that way because that’s the type of people they are and it’s what they know in their heart to be the right way to operate in this industry.
