Colleges and universities, healthcare providers, government agencies, utilities, lenders and commercial businesses, among others. See Who We Serve.
Yes. Many clients use us alongside their current agency or internal team. We specialize in recovering money from accounts other agencies have labeled uncollectible, and we can step in at any stage.
Every person we contact is someone's customer, student or patient, not just a number. Our specialists are trained to communicate respectfully and professionally, with compliance and dignity first. Treating people well protects your reputation and improves recovery.
The more we have, the better we can recover. At minimum:
- Account holder name and last known address and phone number
- Account or reference number (student ID for schools)
- Current balance
- Original creditor or service provided
- Date of first delinquency
Helpful extras: Social Security number, date of birth, last payment date and amount, and any notes or contracts.
Key 2 works on a contingency fee basis. There's no upfront cost and no per-account fee. We're paid a percentage only of what we collect for you, and our rate is competitive with, and often lower than, what you pay today.
You get a dedicated client support specialist, real-time access through our client portal, and automated reports delivered to your inbox in the format you prefer.
Most clients use our secure online upload: click Place Accounts, upload your file and fill in a few details. No login is needed. We also accept secure FTP, encrypted email, and Excel, CSV, tab-delimited, PDF or Word files, as well as billing-system exports.
It depends on account age, type, balance and history, so one number can't tell the whole story. Contact us and we'll review your portfolio and estimate performance based on similar clients.
Yes. Key 2 is licensed to collect nationwide (licensed or registered in every state that requires it), follows the ACA Code of Ethics, is PCI/DSS compliant, and trains our team continuously on federal and state collection, privacy and data-security rules.
